Many of the 110 Nigerian girls who were kidnapped from their school by militants have returned, Nigerian officials confirmed.

Residents from the town of Dapchi, Nigeria, told the BBC that they were brought back in a vehicle convoy Wednesday morning. Officials say no ransom was paid.

The girls were taken by suspected Boko Haram militants on Feb. 19 from their school. It took Nigerian officials a week to admit the girls had been kidnapped.

In 2014, Boko Haram militants kidnapped nearly 300 girls from a school. Many of those girls have been released over the years, but some are still missing.
