Nigeria has finally acknowledged more than 100 girls were kidnapped by suspected Boko Haram militants on Feb. 19.

The country's Ministry of Information and Culture said in a statement that 110 girls are still unaccounted for after the militants invaded their school. There were reportedly more than 900 students in the school the day of the attack.

The government has sent out "security forces" who are "working on many leads regarding the whereabouts of the girls." The names of the missing girls haven't been released.

In 2014, Boko Haram militants kidnapped nearly 300 girls from a school. Many of those girls have been released over the years, but some are still missing.
