China Cuts Legislative Seats In Hong Kong

The move seems to be another step by China to reign in political opposition in Hong Kong.

China is tightening its grip on Hong Kong. 

It cut the number of directly elected seats in the legislature of the semi-autonomous region.

Now, the public will elect less than a quarter of the seats. Currently, half of those positions are directly elected.
