Malaysia will pay a U.S. company up to $70 million if it finds the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

Ocean Infinity, a company that explores the ocean floor, and Malaysia's government previously agreed to launch a new search for the plane. A vessel called the Seabed Constructor is assigned to the task.

The company is working on a "no cure, no fee" basis, which means it only gets paid if it finds the plane. In 2014, MH370 and its 239 people on board disappeared somewhere over the Indian Ocean en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing.

To get the money, Ocean Infinity has 90 days from when it embarks to find MH370. The search will start Jan. 17.
