Search operations resumed Thursday for a group of young soccer players and their coach who are believed to be trapped inside a cave complex in northern Thailand.
About 30 members of the U.S. military are now in Thailand to help local crews search. Rescue efforts were forced to halt Wednesday because heavy rain was causing the water levels inside the cave to rise by as much as 6 inches per hour.
The cave system reportedly runs for about 6 miles underneath a mountainside, so the BBC reports it's hard to see if there are multiple entrances. So some of the search crew is reportedly planning to create their own routes into the cave.
The boys — ages 11 to 16 — and their coach were last seen Saturday. Their bikes and personal belongings were found outside the cave, and investigators think the rising water may have forced the missing group to move further inside it.
