At least 10 people are dead and dozens of others are injured after an eight-story apartment building in Paris went up in flames.

Authorities told reporters Tuesday the fast-moving blaze may have been started intentionally, and police are treating it as a possible arson case.

A 40-year-old woman who lived in the building was arrested in connection with the incident, which officials say is the deadliest fire Paris has seen in more than a decade.

Hundreds of firefighters were called to the scene to battle the blaze and help rescue people trapped inside. Officials say the death toll could rise as authorities continue to search the building.
