Bulgarian police busted a counterfeit money ring after a monthslong investigation.
According to the country's Interior Ministry, they confiscated fake bills worth over 11 million euros and over $1.7 million U.S.
Investigators say to avoid being caught, the group didn't constantly print new money. Instead, it printed fake bills every few years and hid the money in secret stash houses.
The raid targeted the printing facility as well as more than 30 other locations around the country. Four people were arrested and charged.
