In the hours following the terrorist attacks in Brussels, people in and around the city started offering help online.
The hashtags #ikwilhelpen and #openhouse are being used to offer shelter, rides and more. The hashtag #ikwilhelpen means "I want to help."
Along with Belgians offering help online, a Twitter account was created to connect drivers with those stranded during the attacks.
@brusselslift has connected drivers and passengers most of Tuesday morning.
The explosions that rocked Brussels were at the international airport and at a subway station in the heart of the city.
