Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding is quickly approaching. But instead of gifts, the couple is asking that people give to charity.
Kensington Palace announced the couple chose seven charities focusing on issues they're passionate about, including homelessness, the military and HIV.
Harry and Markle don't have formal relationships with any of the charities, and not all of them are based in the U.K.
One is an India-based group focusing on women's empowerment and fighting period stigma. Markle highlighted the charity in an essay she wrote for Time magazine last year.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge similarly set up a charitable gift fund prior to their wedding back in 2011, raising $1.7 million for their chosen charities.
Harry and Markle will marry May 19 at Windsor Castle.
