At least one police officer is dead and five others are injured after what Al Jazeera called a "coordinated assault" on the Interior Ministry building in Kabul, Afghanistan.

A spokesperson for the Afghan Interior Ministry told media outlets that two blasts went off outside the building before assailants tried to storm it. He also said there may have been civilian casualties but didn't release any more information.

Multiple outlets report all the assailants were killed. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.

This is the latest of many attacks that have rocked Afghanistan since mid-April, when registration for the country's October parliamentary elections opened.
