The former prime minister of Pakistan is out of prison, two months into a 10-year sentence. A Pakistani court suspended his sentence Wednesday.

Nawaz Sharif was removed from office last year following the release of the Panama Papers, which showed his family bought expensive real estate overseas using offshore companies.

Sharif was found guilty of corruption in July of this year and petitioned to appeal his sentence.

Wednesday, Sharif was released with his daughter and son-in law on $4,000 bond. He now awaits an appeal hearing.
