Israel Legalizes Unauthorized Outpost In The West Bank After Attack

The move comes after a rabbi was killed in January.

Israel's Cabinet has voted to legalize an unauthorized outpost in the West Bank after an attack last month.

In January, a rabbi was killed in a drive-by shooting near his home in the outpost.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said legalizing the outpost will "allow the continuation of normal life there."

Most countries consider Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal. An anti-settlement group known as Peace Now says the move to legalize the outpost is a exploitation of the rabbi's death.
