On Tuesday, Prince William made the first-ever official visit by a British royal to Israel.

His day began at the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, where he laid a wreath in the memory of those who died. He then met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the president of Israel, who asked him to deliver a message of peace to the president of the Palestinian Authority during their upcoming meeting.

The Duke of Cambridge also spent time with local children at a soccer match in Tel Aviv.

Other expected stops during his five-day trip in the Middle East include Jerusalem's Old City and the historic Mount of Olives.

On Wednesday, William will travel to the West Bank and meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
