Princess Diana: one of the most famous women in history, with perhaps one of the most tragic stories.

"A will, in historic terms, gives you a real insight because they tell so many stories in just one piece of paper," author Robert Jobson said on NBC.
For instance, NBCsays the will shows how following Diana's divorce with Prince Charles, her mother became the consultant for Prince William and Prince Harry's education.
William and Harry received about $30 million. Princess Diana's butler and trusted friend Paul Burrell received $80,000 tax-free.
According to E!, Harry also inherited his mother's famous wedding dress while William received her 18-carat sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring –– now worn by the Duchess of Cambridge.
The will was actually made available in December in a deal between Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunal Service and the information management firm Iron Mountain.
The deal made 41 million wills dating back to 1858 available, including those of Winston Churchill, George Orwell and Charles Dickens.
Iron Mountain's data center manager says access to these wills used to require a trip to the local Registry Office. Naturally, having celebrities' wills now at your fingertips has sparked tremendous curiosity.
Many are saying these wills –– what the signer was willing to give and to whom –– share insights not often told in history books.
