Russia's WWII commemoration parade became a show of the country's military power.

The 70th WWII Victory Day in Moscow honored the country's WWII veterans and the 27 million Soviet lives lost. 

But it also featured: 16,000 troops, 200 armored vehicles, 150 planes and helicopters, new intercontinental nuclear warheads, new Armata T-14 tanks, and new military kits worn by the "polite people" who seized Crimea.

China's President Xi Jinping attended the even along with Chinese soldiers. Many Western leaders rejected invitations to attend.
