Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is reportedly looking into what Donald Trump knew about the hacked Democratic emails — and when he knew it.

NBC News reported multiple people familiar with the probe said Mueller's questioning included asking if Trump knew emails from the Democratic National Committee had been stolen before Wikileaks released them. Mueller also reportedly asked why Trump took a more favorable position toward Russia.

Newsy previously reported Mueller's office has also asked when Trump decided to run for the presidency and about Trump's business dealings with Russia, including two failed attempts to put a Trump Tower in Moscow.

President Trump has said Mueller would be in violation of his authority if he looked into Trump's personal finances. The president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, including collusion with Russia.
