Ford Motor Company is being sued for allegedly rigging some of its diesel vehicles to cheat emissions tests.
The class action lawsuit alleges Ford and auto supplier Bosch knowingly installed so-called "defeat devices" in some of Ford's Super Duty diesel trucks.
That may ring a bell. In 2015, Volkswagen got in deep trouble when it admitted many of its diesel cars in America had "defeat devices," which effectively allowed the vehicles to blunt their emissions to pass federal tests.
As of Wednesday, U.S. regulators hadn't accused Ford of criminal wrongdoing. The company called the suit claims "baseless."
