Several A-list celebrities are objecting to the bankruptcy sale of The Weinstein Co.
Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Quentin Tarantino and other big names filed objections to the sale because they say the production studio owes them money.
Tarantino, for one, claims The Weinstein Co. still needs to pay him more than $4 million in royalties from four films he directed for the studio.
The Weinstein Co. filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. And it struck a deal to sell its assets to an affiliate of Lantern Capital Partners, which is a private equity company based in Dallas.
The bankruptcy filing came just a few weeks after a deal to sell the studio's assets fell through.
