A lot of people want to know what happened during the private meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. And apparently the director of national intelligence is one of them.
Dan Coats took part in the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado on Thursday, and he was asked about the one-on-one meeting between Trump and Putin.
"Well, you're right, I don't know what happened in that meeting," he said. "I think, as time goes by, the president has already mentioned some things that happened in that meeting. I think we will learn more."
Coats also sais: "If he had asked me how that ought to have been conducted, I would've suggested a different way. But that's not my role. That's not my job, so it is what it is."
The two world leaders met for more than two hours with only translators in the room. Democrats now want Trump's translator to testify on Capitol Hill about what happened in that meeting.
