Local officials told media outlets at least 14 people are dead and dozens injured after an explosion at a mosque in eastern Afghanistan.

The mosque was reportedly used as a voting registration center.

There have been multiple attacks in Afghanistan since mid-April, when registration for the country's October parliamentary elections opened.

A suicide attack in Kabul on April 22 killed at least 57 people and injured more than 100 others. And at least 29 people died after two explosions in Afghanistan's capital April 30. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Some of those injured at the mosque Sunday were reportedly in critical condition.
