Elon Musk's private space company, SpaceX, has joined a prestigious group of businesses.
Valued at $21 billion, the company is now the fourth most valuable privately held technology company in the U.S.
It joins Uber, Airbnb, WeWork and Palantir at the top of the tech company food chain.
With this new valuation, SpaceX also joins seven venture-backed companies valued at $20 billion or more worldwide.
The new valuation comes just a week after Musk suggested SpaceX would abandon its goal of landing on Mars by 2020 but would look to land a larger ship on the planet in the future.
