Officials have released more information about Thursday's deadly shooting at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Maryland.
During a press conference Friday, Anne Arundel County Police Chief Timothy Altomare refused to mention the suspect's name.
But he did say the suspect had a history with the newspaper and that police believe he planned the attack. Our partners at WMAR found documents showing the man sued the newspaper for defamation in 2012 and lost.
"I'll say this: The fella was there to kill as many people as he could kill," Altomare said.
Five people were killed and two others were injured during Thursday's shooting. All of them were employees of the Capital Gazette.
At a court hearing Friday, the judge ordered the suspect be held without bail. He's been charged with five counts of first-degree murder.
