North Korea held a military parade Thursday to mark the 70th anniversary of its armed forces.
Pyongyang's annual showcase of its military included tanks, trucks, planes, missiles and hundreds of soldiers.
Footage from the event shows leader Kim Jong-un and other officials watching the show from a balcony.
Experts say the parade was massive but notably smaller than the one held for founder Kim Il-sung's birthday in April.
North Korea's show came just a few days after U.S. President Donald Trump asked the Pentagon to plan its own military parade. Officials said initial planning for the event is underway.
