U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says Russia isn't implementing all international sanctions against North Korea.

According to Reuters, Tillerson told reporters Wednesday that the sanctions Russia doesn't enforce "primarily" concern fuel.

But a Russian diplomat told Russian news agency TASS that Tillerson's accusations were "absolutely unfounded," adding, "Russia is fulfilling its obligations under the corresponding UN Security Council resolutions in full."

The United Nations decided to impose a new round of sanctions against North Korea late last year, not long after the country tested a ballistic missile it claimed could hit the U.S. mainland.

As Newsy previously reported, the new sanctions were meant to deal a serious blow to the North's economy, including its oil imports.
