President Donald Trump told a right-leaning British tabloid that Prime Minister Theresa May's soft Brexit plan could "kill" any possible trade deal between the U.K. and the U.S.
In a wide-ranging interview with The Sun, Trump said May's plan to maintain economic ties with the European Union would mean a trade deal with the U.S. was unlikely to happen. He also criticized May's handling of the deal, saying she didn't take his advice on how to negotiate Britain's exit from the EU.
Trump also criticized London's mayor, the EU's immigration policy and the planned protests against his visit.
