Authorities in Guatemala have stopped searching for nearly 200 people who are still missing after the Fuego volcano erupted earlier this month.

The country's disaster agency announced Sunday it was calling off searches in two towns that were hit hard by volcanic activity. Officials said the area is "uninhabitable."

At least 110 people died after the volcano erupted June 3. As of Sunday, the volcano was still generating four to five weak explosions an hour.

Meanwhile, prosecutors are looking into the Guatemalan government's emergency response after critics said it didn't respond to eruption warnings fast enough.
